Tender Mango shoots and Orange headed Thrushes

Mango shoots

Mango flowers are tiny and cream coloured and named ‘Nature’s Hope for Realisation’ (Nature knows that one day she will realise) by the Mother (Mirra Alfassa)
The Mango fruit is called ‘Divine Knowledge’.

Painted on Hahnemuehle 450 gsm watercolor paper, size: 14 * 19 inches with Schminke Horadam Artists watercolors.

The mango trees in our neighbourhood have put out new leaf growth with the most lovely, varied hues of yellow, orange, pink, maroon and tender greens, and I painted this tree along with these little birds that I found feeding on the ground in the wee hours of the morning and which I quickly took some shots of.  They are called orange headed thrushes and they are secretive birds usually active at dawn or dusk and like to nest in mango trees.
