‘Cygnets’ third painting in the ‘The Story of the Swan’ series

Painting size: 14*19 inches done on 450 gsm Hahnemuehle acid free watercolor paper with Schminke Horadam Artists watercolors.

These Mute swan cygnets have just hatched and they are either gray or white upon hatching. Mute swans lay an average of six eggs which are greenish blue and the nests are rather large built in secluded areas on shores with nest materials being twigs, leaves, stems of plants found near their nesting areas.
